PART I — Core Philosophy for the Year

This year is about intentionality, discipline, and self-preservation. I am no longer living reactively. I am no longer waiting for validation, permission, or rescue. I am choosing to build my life deliberately, even when it’s uncomfortable.

I’ve learned that:

  • No one is coming to save me.

  • Support systems are unreliable if I don’t first support myself.

  • Growth requires discomfort, sacrifice, and consistency.

  • I must protect my energy if I want to succeed.

This year is about self-respect, self-discipline, and self-direction.

PART II — Non-Negotiable Life Rules

1. I Put Myself First

I stop prioritizing people who do not prioritize me. I no longer overextend myself emotionally, mentally, or physically.

2. I Stay Single

I am not entering relationships. I am not entertaining romantic distractions. I am not opening emotional doors I don’t have the capacity to manage.

This season of my life is about self-mastery, not romance.

3. I Limit Access to Me

Not everyone deserves access to my energy, time, or thoughts.

  • I don’t owe people conversation.

  • I don’t owe people emotional labor.

  • I don’t owe people explanations.

If someone disrupts my peace, I distance myself — without guilt.

4. I Stop Seeking External Validation

I don’t need approval from:

  • Friends

  • Classmates

  • Professors

  • Strangers

  • Social media

Validation must come from my discipline, my progress, and my consistency.

5. I Commit Fully to My Education

I finish what I started.

  • I prepare for and take the FE exam.

  • I treat studying like a job.

  • I prioritize academic discipline over comfort.

  • I aim to become a PhD candidate with confidence.

No shortcuts. No excuses.

6. I Take My Research Seriously

Research is not optional — it’s my responsibility.

  • I prepare.

  • I show up ready.

  • I move with intention.

  • I accept correction without taking it personally.

Growth comes from discipline, not emotion.

7. I Release My Music with Purpose

Music is not a distraction — it’s expression.

  • I release Tired of Everything.

  • I don’t overwork or overthink releases.

  • I allow music to be honest, not perfect.

  • I create without seeking validation.

I make art because it’s part of who I am.

8. I Protect My Mental and Physical Health

This includes:

  • Exercising daily (even lightly)

  • Moving my body intentionally

  • Eating with awareness

  • Sleeping consistently

  • Reducing overstimulation

Health is non-negotiable.

9. I Journal Daily

Writing keeps me grounded. Writing helps me process. Writing helps me grow.

I commit to journaling every day — even when it’s uncomfortable.

10. I Stop Escaping Through Distractions

That includes:

  • Excessive phone use

  • Video games

  • Emotional avoidance

  • Overconsumption of content

I choose presence over avoidance.

11. I Maintain Discipline, Even When It’s Hard

I don’t quit because it’s uncomfortable. I don’t give up because it’s lonely. I don’t abandon myself anymore.

Discipline is love.

12. I Accept That Growth Is Lonely

Being alone doesn’t mean being broken. Being independent doesn’t mean being cold. Being focused doesn’t mean being heartless.

I am allowed to walk alone.

13. I Prepare for My Future, Not Just Survive the Present

This includes:

  • Preparing for my career

  • Building intellectual confidence

  • Strengthening my identity

  • Making long-term decisions with clarity

14. I Stop Waiting for Permission

I don’t wait to be chosen. I don’t wait to be approved. I choose myself.

15. I Move Forward With Intention

Every action has a purpose. Every choice moves me closer to the life I want.

Final Commitment to Myself

This year is not about perfection. It’s about discipline, direction, and self-respect.

I will fail sometimes. I will struggle sometimes. But I will not abandon myself again.

I choose growth. I choose clarity. I choose discipline.

And most importantly —I choose me.
