I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! As we kick off the year, I wanted to start something new—a blog about my life, my projects, and the journey I’m on. The idea of blogging came to me after exploring the work of the incredible science fiction author N.K. Jemisin. Her website includes not just information about her books, but also insightful blogs and an "About" section that truly drew me in. Her blogs fascinated me because, honestly, who even writes blogs anymore?

For me, my "blog" was always Twitter—until it wasn’t. I haven’t touched Twitter in weeks. It’s toxic, unproductive, and wasn’t adding any value to my life. So, I figured, why not try something new? If I continue with this blog, I plan to post once a month, reflecting on what I’ve been working on and where I’m headed.

Speaking of projects, I recently created a YouTube video titled "Boosting My Ego Will Boost Your Ego | January 2025", which you can check out here. In the video, I opened up about feeling frustrated with life after college—struggling to find a job, not feeling motivated to study for the FE exam, and overall, feeling stuck. It wasn’t my proudest moment, but recording that video helped me reflect on what I need to do to get back on track.

What’s Next?

I have a few projects brewing—maybe not immediately, but they’re definitely in the works. For one, I’ve always thought about going back to school if I can’t find a job. But, of course, people around me are encouraging me to work and start earning. The problem is… how can I work when there are no jobs?

On top of that, I’ve been toying with the idea of writing a book. That’s part of why N.K. Jemisin inspired me. I’ve been reading up on science fiction authors and trying to do my research before diving into my own writing. It’s a long-term goal, but I’m excited about the possibilities.

This year, I’m focusing on figuring out what’s next for me—whether it’s a job, school, or creative projects. Either way, I’ll keep you posted through this blog. Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you next month!

What are your goals for the year? Let me know in the comments—I’d love to hear about them!
